While Takeshi Hongo was the first Kamen Rider to take up the fight against the terrorist organization SHOCKER, photojournalist Hayato Ichimonji suffered the same fate: he too was transformed against his will into a grasshopper cyborg and used as Grasshopper Aug 02 against his predecessor. However, in Hideaki Anno’s acclaimed 2023 film Shin Kamen Rider, Ruriko Midorikawa manages to free Ichimonji from the brainwashing. Following the heroic sacrifice of the first Rider, he takes up his legacy and continues the resistance against SHOCKER as Kamen Rider No. 2. This Bearbrick from the Hero category of Series 46 carries the coveted SECRET status and pays tribute to the second masked hero in all his glory.

The design deliberately departs from the first Kamen Rider, highlighting the characteristic differences of the film version. The helmet features a striking combination of black and metallic silver, while the large, multi-faceted eyes glow a vibrant red instead of the pink of its predecessor. A small green dot on the forehead and silver details around the mouth complete the intimidating face. The torso displays the familiar color scheme of deep green with fine circuit-like lines, crisscrossed by the iconic red scarf.

The intricately detailed Typhoon belt with its red and white windmill emblem forms the energetic centerpiece of the design. The black arms and legs, with their dark green accents on the forearms and lower legs, along with the green hands, give the figure a dynamic silhouette. As a SECRET variant, this Bearbrick is particularly rare and therefore a true highlight for collectors of tokusatsu memorabilia and fans of Hideaki Anno’s Shin universe.
