BE@RBRICK Superman [Batman: Hush Version] (400%)

Description

Batman: Hush is one of the most significant and visually impressive storylines in DC Comics history. Written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Jim Lee, the graphic novel, published in 2002 and 2003, not only introduced the mysterious villain Hush but also captivated millions of fans with its cinematic art style and the complex plot surrounding Batman’s entire Rogues Gallery. In one of its most memorable chapters, Superman falls under the mental control of Poison Ivy, becoming the most dangerous adversary the Dark Knight has ever faced. Medicom Toy captures this iconic moment with the BE@RBRICK Superman [Batman: Hush Version] (400%), translating Jim Lee’s distinctive art style into the striking Bearbrick silhouette.

The design of this Bearbricks is a remarkably detailed homage to Jim Lee’s artwork. The face depicts Superman with an aggressive, almost menacing expression—squinting eyes, bared teeth, and a determined forelock in a bold, dark blue, reminiscent of the classic comic book depiction. This grim expression perfectly captures the moment when the Man of Steel is under Poison Ivy’s influence. The body is rendered in the iconic Superman costume: a vibrant blue with intricately printed muscle texture on the torso and arms, reflecting Jim Lee’s athletic drawing style. The famous S-Shield is emblazoned across the chest in red and gold, while a gold belt marks the boundary between the blue torso and red trousers. The red trousers and matching red boots with subtle folds complete the outfit. On the back, another gold Superman emblem adorns the red cape, its folds meticulously printed. The transparent ears of the Bearbrick create a striking contrast to the otherwise vibrant coloring.

Standing approximately 28 cm tall, the 400% version is the perfect size to showcase its numerous design details. For collectors of DC Bearbricks, this model fits seamlessly alongside other Batman figures from the Hush series, creating a cohesive display centered around one of the greatest Batman stories of all time. The combination of Jim Lee’s legendary artwork and the Bearbrick aesthetic makes this piece a highly sought-after collector’s item, prized by both comic book and designer toy enthusiasts.
