Batman Bearbrick Types: Hush and The Batman

Batman Bearbricks are Medicom’s DC line, and most of them trace back to one source: Batman: Hush, the 2002–03 storyline drawn by Jim Lee. Alongside it sits The Batman, based on the 2022 Matt Reeves film.

This covers both design lines, the Superman figure that belongs to the same series, and what is currently in stock.

What is Batman: Hush?

A twelve-issue Batman storyline written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee, published across 2002 and 2003. Lee’s artwork from it is among the most reproduced Batman imagery there is.

The Bearbrick releases take their colour and costume detail from that run, which is why the Hush figures look distinctly comic-derived next to the film-based designs.

Which Batman Bearbricks are available?

Seven distinct releases in our range, across two design lines and a blind-box figure.

  • THE BATMAN 1000% — $446.40, from the 2022 film. Also as a 100% & 400% set at $112.
  • BATMAN (Hush Ver.) 1000% — $446.40, with the 100% & 400% set at $126.40.
  • SUPERMAN (Hush Ver.) 1000% — $414.40, with the set at $112.
  • Chase Batman Hush Series — $20.99, a blind-box chase figure.

Why is there a Superman in the Batman series?

Because Superman appears in Hush — the storyline includes a well-known confrontation between the two characters. Medicom released both figures as part of the same Hush set rather than as separate licences.

Collectors generally buy them as a pair for that reason. Sold together they read as a set; sold apart, the Superman figure is easily mistaken for a standalone release.

What is a chase figure?

A rarer variant inserted into a blind-box series at a lower frequency than the standard figures. You cannot choose one — you get what is in the sealed box.

The Chase Batman Hush Series figure at $20.99 is the cheapest Batman entry we carry, and blind-box scarcity is how the numbered Bearbrick series work generally: Basic figures are common, and the rarest tiers appear only a fraction as often. That structure is explained in what a Bearbrick is.

Which Batman Bearbrick should you buy?

It depends which Batman you want. The Batman is the modern film design; Hush is the classic comic look.

For most buyers the 100% & 400% sets at $112–126 are the right call — a 7cm and a 28cm figure in one box, with the 400% being the size that actually holds a shelf. The 1000% figures at 70cm are floor or plinth pieces; check the size guide before ordering, since this size surprises people.
