Bearbrick figures are produced by Medicom Toy, a Japanese collectible company that has been releasing new designs since 2001. Each figure shares the same jointed, bear-shaped silhouette, which is used as a canvas for collaborations with artists, fashion labels, and entertainment brands, so no two releases look quite alike even though the base shape never changes.

Since its debut in 2001, Bearbrick has grown into one of the most recognized collectible toy lines in the world, known for pairing a single consistent shape with an ever-changing range of collaborations and finishes. Sizes typically range from the pocket-sized 100% up to the 27.5-inch 1000%, giving collectors flexibility in how they build out a display.

Medicom Toy has released Bearbrick figures continuously since 2001, working with a wide range of collaborators to keep the same base silhouette feeling fresh from one release to the next. Limited production runs and collaboration-driven designs are a large part of why certain releases become highly sought after among collectors.
